Love this kit! Shipped out a few days after I ordered, arrived in bubble wrap. Took it apart and sat down to read the instructions on my phone. Took about 20 minutes from start to finish. Took longer going through all the options in the on screen settings menu. Lots of stuff in there! Plays as I remember and can play both Tron and Satan's Hollow now. This is a must have for any Tron owner IMO.

This kit is an essential if you own a Tron cab, and don't have a Satan's Hollow. Both games in a single cab is tremendous for the space savings alone. Installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. If you run into any issues, High Score Saves has great customer service and will support you along the way. This kit is worth every penny!

This is my second HSS kit in as many months. While not as hard (for me) as the Gyruss kit (I'm not as steady with a soldering iron as I used to be), this one had a few challenges (mostly pesky things on the PCB itself, not the kit). Love that we can play Satan's Hallow in the Tron. Not the easiest to install. Needed to have new pcb connector cables since mine broke when I bent them according to the install guide. Not the fault of the kit, but they are 40 years old...so ..took a while to get them made and shipped to me (from another company).
Kit needed to be inserted firmly. I was getting glitches in the ship and other parts of the screen. Took the pcb stack apart again and reseated the daughter cards. Put it back together and it worked great

Awesome upgrade for TRON
Two great Miday games in 1 cabinet. Satan's Hollow plays and sounds just as I remember it. After installing, make sure you check the voltage on one of the electrolytic caps. Mine was at 4.7V and I needed to bump to 5.0V. I do have some concerns about the weight of the3 board resting on the flat gray ribbon cable that connects to the sound board. Curious if there is a way to protect the cable from pinching/fraying over time?

Let's say no.
How can you play Tron without a spinner? You cannot!
The cool thing about this kit is that you are able to change the shields control on a Tron cabinet through the menu. You can use the UP function on the joystick, the P1 button or the spinner to activate ythe Satan's Hallow shield. This is selectable in the on screen settings menu.
It worked before I installed the kit...
From the looks of it, possibilities are -
- The 93442 proms on your pcb
- Ribbon cable of the kit
I’m getting an interface error. Sound status FF I had cd jump repair my board set and install my hss kit. I went for a partial working image to the FF to a screen where the colors where off back to an FF error.
Sound interface error that you're seeing could be multiple things. Since you are getting a flashing yellow light (the handshake), that's good. That means your pcb is firing the z80 sound cpu. Best to look at RAM or reseat the kit. ALWAYS check your pcb ribbon cables too! All dips on the sound I/O pcb need to be set to OFF also.

While all of the high score save kits save scores, have an on screen menu for difficulty settings and other features like attract sounds (Please see the description under each kit for full details)
There are usually 2 or 3 main types -
High Score Save kit - This is a great option for anyone wanting to save scores and have free play option on their game with some other cool options! Again, please see the product description page for each kit you are looking at.
Online High Score Save kit - This is next level stuff! You can now save your scores locally on your machine and upload your scores to the Global High Score Save web page! Information uploaded is not just your initials and score, but also uploads the day, time, difficulty levels, how many guys used, players name, city and country you are in and the name of your arcade!
Please remember, you need to have internet access and your high score save kit connected to it.
