The Asteroids Multigame and Asteroids Deluxe Multigame are add-on enhancement kits that extend your Atari Asteroids or Asteroids Deluxe game board to play all 3 games: Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, and Lunar Lander. As with all Braze Technologies multigames, these kits are loaded with features such as high score save, on-screen settings configuration, and enhanced diagnostic selftests. Switch between games at anytime by simply pressing both start buttons at the same time.

The Multigame kit comes in two models. One for Atari Asteroids boards and a different version for Atari Asteriods Deluxe boards. For detailed information select the model of the kit by clicking on corresponding image below.
The kit typically installs in less than 30 minutes on your Atari Asteroids board. Simply remove a two socketed chips, replace them with two new daughter cards provided in the kit. Then attach (solder) 2 wires from the daughter cards to your game board. Thats it! It is ready to go! No board modifications other than attaching the 2 wires.

Asteroids software includes a new feature allowing the selection of EASY gameplay (original) versus HARD gameplay. This implementation is a result of merging the original Atari Asteroids software with a previously rare Atari Asteroids release. This later Asteroids release changed the game software in order to make the gameplay more difficult. The Asteroids Multigame allows selection of either difficulty level. Atari released a 2nd version of Asteroids Deluxe which had easier gameplay (probably due to complaints). In that revision they added a DIP switch setting allowing selection of the original (hard) gameplay or the new (easy) version. This kit is based off the 2nd release and allows selection of EASY or HARD gameplay via the setup menu. See Asteroids Deluxe Revision 2 release (jpg).
Fixes the Asteroids "missing last letter on the 10th score" bug. There is a bug in the Atari REV2 code whereby every time you start a game, the last letter (initial) in the 10th score is erased. The modified software on this kit fixes that errata.
The Lunar Landing implementation on the multigame gives visual feedback on the screen when selecting the mission type.

I ordered a Asteroids Deluxe multi game kit a few weeks ago. Got it installed today into my AD cabaret machine... it seems lunar lander has a graphics glitch. The attract mode seems fine. Selecting mission is fine. Once I start a game, certain parts of the screen are extremely glitchy. Mostly in the lunar landscape and within the read outs at the top of screen (fuel, score, etc). All diagnostics checkout fine. Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe are rock solid - graphics and gameplay are perfect. I even removed kit and went back to the original PCB configuration and AD played properly - no glitches. Upon reinstalling the kit, had the same result with glitchy graphics on LL only. I searched KLOV forum and came across a post about the same issue caused by a particular chip on some braze kits. Might this be possibly what I am experiencing?
Not at all, those eproms haven’t been used in years…
My suggestion is adjusting the X and Y pots on your original pcb to help with the weird refresh rate on LL. Find the balance with the other 2 games.
Is there an online set up like some of your other kits?

We build our own kits, from programming to concept. This is why only the HSS kits are online versions (or offline).
We also just straight out build other kits that were made by someone else. This kit was introduced by Braze, so there is no online support for this kit. We have no plan to make these kits online capable at this time.
